With the aim of transforming society into a better place, this children’s communication tool aims at improving environmental awareness among the future generation.

Through a process of research, design and testing in the art and education fields, Nidhi Sundram has developed a communication tool to highlight and educate children in a creative way, about issues of economy, ecology and global warming.
This multifunctional tool, designed for a seven years old child, can be used as a folding table, a puzzle in the form of a game, and a story-telling device. Children are also able to create their own games and uses for it. The tool has been created as a tactile and manual resource, rather than a digital one, as it is important that they can interact, alter, touch, and play with it and work on it, both individually and in a group. Though the target users of the resource are children, their parents and teachers will become involved in the concept and process. A full sized working prototype of the tool has been made, which will be developed and further tested in India.

A bin bag made out of the scrap materials collects waste and unused objects. This bag has the ability to create new stories out of something that is left behind, untold, unseen, unheard.

It is a functional presentation of ‘water’ (in particular sea water) as a major source of energy in the near future. This mechanism shows how it can help to cut pollution and save energy. The aim is to make it popular as an alternative to gas, petrol and fuel. This project aims to be developed further in India.
The project has been made possible with the collaboration of Francesco Bernabei, Head of the Economic Office at Cittadellarte.
